The Fully Redesigned GMC Sierra 1500

GMC has pulled the wraps off the next generation. The redesigned Sierra 1500 is a ground-up rework, the first full overhaul in nearly a decade. The headline is a pair of all-new sixth-generation Small Block V8 engines, a 5.7L and a 6.6L, joining an enhanced TurboMax four-cylinder and the class-exclusive Duramax diesel, each with a 10-speed automatic.

The interior changes most. Higher trims add up to three screens, including a 16.3-inch central touchscreen that articulates to reveal hidden storage and an 11.5-inch passenger display. Real wood trim, an available panoramic sunroof, and more standard crew cab space push the cabin upmarket, while expanded Super Cruise carries capability forward.

As for timing, the newest GMC Sierra 1500 is expected later this year, with the first trucks expected before the end of the calendar year. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet. If you want the latest version of the GMC Sierra 1500 for sale near Columbus, Indiana, the smart move is to reserve early, and our team can get your name on the list. Technology and Trailering Made Simpler

The cabin keeps pace. Most trims come with a 13.4-inch touchscreen running Google built-in, so maps, music, and your apps land where you expect them, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included.

Trailering is where the Sierra shows off. The MultiPro Tailgate folds into six positions, working as a step, a load stop, or a standing workstation. The available CarbonPro composite bed resists dents, scratches, and rust, and available Super Cruise drives hands-free on compatible roads, even with a trailer behind you.

From Work Truck to Weekend Escape

Safety comes standard across the board. Every Sierra includes the GMC Pro Safety suite, with forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, and lane keep assist. Blind-spot alerts and an HD surround-view camera arrive higher up the trim ladder.

The AT4 and AT4X handle the rough stuff, with a lifted suspension, skid plates, and, on the AT4X, front and rear locking differentials plus Multimatic DSSV dampers. The Denali and Denali Ultimate go the other way, with full-grain leather, a 12-speaker Bose system, and heated, ventilated, massaging front seats.

The GMC Sierra 1500 for Sale near Columbus, Indiana

The roads around here give this truck plenty to do. An easy run down US-31 or I-65 puts job sites, boat ramps, and weekend trailheads within reach, and the Sierra handles that mix of highway miles and loaded hauls without complaint. Whether you’re towing to the lake or tackling a long commute, this truck fits how people drive here.

The right Sierra comes down to how you’ll use it, and that’s a conversation we enjoy. Tell us what your weeks and weekends look like, and we’ll point you toward the trim and powertrain that fit.

Power and Towing You Can Put to Work

Every Sierra 1500 starts with real capability. The available TurboMax 2.7L turbocharged four-cylinder makes 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, which GMC calls best-in-class standard torque, and it can pull up to 9,400 pounds when properly equipped. The 5.3L and 6.2L V8s add low-end grunt for merging with a loaded bed.

For drivers who tow often, the available Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel is the quiet workhorse, pairing strong torque with better fuel economy than the gas engines. Properly configured, the Sierra can pull more than 13,000 pounds, so a big travel trailer stays within reach. The available ProGrade Trailering System and up to 14 camera views simplify hooking up.
